Wednesday's Reading

This article basically just talked about the SAT. It talks a little bit about how it got started and how it started to become more widely used. It then talks a little about how the SAT got into some trouble. It mentioned that the SAT had been scrutinized and under attack since the inception. It talks a lot about the way that students would go into the test and go about taking it.

Topic for next paper

I think what I am going to do for my next paper is talk about statistical analysis in baseball. This is an interesting topic to me because some scouts really value the statistics prospects come in with and some scouts don't value the stats as much. They look more at what they think the player can be developed into. I am interested in figuring out how stats are analyzed and the effects they can have on the rating of a player. I have been reading the book called Moneyball which has made my interest in this grow.

Hardest part of the paper

Probably the most challenging part of this first paper was figuring out a really good question that I would be able to research. I think I probably should have had a more specific question. There is only so much that I can write about with the topic of security procedures at airports and how these affect people and their travels.

Something I learned from my first paper

One of the main things I learned about airport and airline security is that procedures are always changing and they are always coming out with new technologies to help in the security procedures. I also learned that the best way for travelers to deal with the security procedures are to learn about them before you go to the airport so you know what to expect and to be able to get through easier and quicker.
